From an early age, Lorenzo Miller realized he loved dogs.

Growing up in the inner city, the 6-year-old saw the stray dogs in his neighborhood knocking over garbage cans looking for food and wanted to help them. Soon, he began to bring the dogs into his home, but was not allowed to keep them. He had to smuggle them into his bedroom and trained them, knowing they had to be quiet in order to keep them hidden. read more…

Zinner & Co. is pleased to continue its support and sponsorship of the Magic of LightsTM, being held at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea, Ohio from November 25, 2020 through January 2, 2021 between the hours of 5:30 and 10 p.m.

Magic of LightsTM is a yearly tradition for many Northeast Ohio families, who marvel at magic-logo-sponsorthousands of decorative displays and interactive holiday lights. 

The event is a dazzling, drive-through holiday lights experience featuring favorite holiday scenes and characters of the season using the latest LED technology and digital animations.

Atlas Cinemas Providing Safe, Family Entertainment

When movie theaters were forced to shut down in mid-March due to safety concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic, Atlas Cinemas Vice President Gabriel Saluan made a financially difficult decision to keep his managers on payroll.

While other theater chains were laying all of their employees off, Saluan saw an opportunity to reinvest in his theaters and he needed his managers to play a key role in reopening to the public.

Eileen SaffranThe founder and former CEO of The Gathering Place, Saffran retired in 2019 after 20 years with the non-profit organization.

In her final years at The Gathering Place, she knew it was time to move on, as the organization was in good hands and was in a great financial position. Saffran wanted to find a new purpose. She was grateful for her Gathering Place community, but it was time for a new challenge.

Our PPP Funds Have Been Spent. Now What?

Bloomberg News recently reported that according to a new survey, at least one in ten small businesses in the U.S. are expecting to lay off workers once their fiscal relief funds run out.

In another survey done by the National Federation of Independent Business, 14 percent of companies, who received a loan under the Paycheck Protection Program, anticipate having to reduce their workforce after using the loan. Among those companies, half expect to dismiss one to two employees, and 12 percent say they will likely lay off at least ten people.
