Rainbow Radiothon

If you called the Zinner & Co. offices on Friday, November 12th, the auto attendant answered to let callers know that many of the folks at Zinner & Co. weren’t in the office that day because they were manning the phones at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital for the annual Rainbow Radiothon!

The Radiothon aired on WDOK 102.1 and the Zinner staff enjoyed an afternoon with Trapper Jack, Terry Moir and Jim McIntyre while taking calls from callers who wanted to pledge their support to the Children’s Miracle Network event to benefit Rainbow.

Since its inception in 2003, the Rainbow Radiothon has inspired over $2.5 million in donations. 100% of the funds raised are used for the hospital’s Family & Child Life Services programs that are not covered by medical insurance, such as an in-hospital accredited tutor program, art and music therapy, crafts and library materials. For many families whose children endure a long stay at Rainbow while being treated for life threatening illnesses, these services provide for a crucial part of patient care, as well as the care and support that the patient’s parents and siblings are in need of!

As a Board member of the Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital Foundation, I was proud to have members of my team participate in such a great event as it provided an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful work being done at Rainbow!
