In an effort to bring greater awareness to the general public about the need for estate planning, Congress created National Estate Planning Awareness Week when it enacted HR 1499 in 2008.  At that time, Congress recognized there was a need for mainstream consumers to understand estate planning, its need, and how to find a qualified team of professionals to assist.

A phone call-in observance of this event will take place on Wednesday, October 22, at the WKYC, TV 3 studios. Two members of Zinner & Co.’s professional staff – Gary Sigman, CPA, AEP® and Howard Kass, CPA, AEP® – will field calls from the general public and offer free advice on basic estate planning alongside other volunteers from the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland

The phone lines will be open from 4:00 – 7:30 pm this Wednesday and can be reached by calling 216-858-6250 or toll-free at 877-790-7370.
