Zinner & Co. urges our clients who use Intuit QuickBooks Desktop for Windows to upgrade their one-time purchase license before Dec. 10.
A recent announcement by Intuit QuickBooks said the company will discontinue the one-time purchase of software in December.
With its 2022 launch, QuickBooks will only sell its Pro, Premier and Mac products as Pro Plus, Premier Plus and Mac Plus subscriptions. As of Nov. 1, annual subscription prices were not announced.
In making this transition to only subscription purchases, QuickBooks said it remains committed to deliver greater value and more impactful features for clients. This transition will also encourage clients to be on the most recent versions for easier collaboration. To facilitate this transition, sales of QuickBooks Desktop 2021, one-time purchase versions, will be extended until Dec. 10.
Those who upgrade their one-time purchase license before Dec. 10 will pay a single fee to buy the program. Once purchased, the program is downloaded to a PC for permanent access, and users will receive updates from Intuit at no additional charge through May 2024.
