2015 CRCC Faces of Change Luncheon

Every year, the signature events hosted by the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center prove to be some of the most inspiring and moving events of the year. This year’s Faces of Change luncheon was no exception.

On Wednesday, April 15, a sellout crowd of 1,200 arrived at the Renaissance Hotel downtown to support the CRCC and the event’s keynote speaker, Michelle Knight. Along with Gina DeJesus and Amanda Berry, Knight was held captive in the home of Ariel Castro until their escape that gripped the city – and the nation – two years ago. Now a powerful symbol of hope and healing, Knight bravely told her story and discussed the steps she is taking to heal and move forward with her life.

The CRCC honored the Cleveland FBI Violent Crimes Task Force with Face of Change Awards during the luncheon, and the all-star Sing Out! Chorale also made a special appearance to provide a preview of next year’s trademark Sing Out! event.

The Faces of Change luncheon raised a record $254,000 for the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, which has been the only organization providing comprehensive rape crisis services to the Cleveland community, promoting healing and prevention and creating social change throughout Northeast Ohio for over 40 years.

Zinner & Co. is proud to support such an essential local organization that works tirelessly to help make our community a better, safer place. Robin Baum and I attended the inspirational event, and as a member of the CRCC Board, I feel honored to be part of such a supportive and giving community of people seeking to be Faces of Change.
