The sales tax increase on September 1, 2013 will affect all businesses that collect or pay sales or use tax in Ohio.
The Ohio Department of Taxation has issued a Notice of Increase in the state-wide sales and use tax rate from 5.5% to 5.75%. This rate is the basic Ohio tax rate and does not include the add-on taxes imposed by local jurisdictions.
